GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Physical Plant Manager will help CCCB accomplish its visionary goal of innovative ministry education for the Christian church by assisting the Physical Plant Manager in maintaining the day-to-day operations of keeping the grounds, facilities, and vehicles in the best condition possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve the needs of the campus community regarding issues of building, maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, security, or other needs.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Physical Plant Manager, which may include vehicle maintenance, groundskeeping, cleaning, preventative maintenance, repairs, projects, etc.
  • Provide support for maintenance and grounds workers to ensure that all tasks and preventative maintenance are being completed on schedule.
  • Ensure that the grounds and landscaping are being taken care of properly and in a timely manner.
  • Work with other operations employees to help them succeed in completing the duties assigned to them.
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors to complete the jobs that they have been assigned on the campus.
  • Assist the Physical Plant Manager with management of the heating and cooling systems, lock systems, local and national compliance, and necessary manuals.

EDUCATION/POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to use computer software such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, etc.
  • Having a general knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and vehicle maintenance is beneficial.
  • Construction knowledge is a bonus.
