There is no better way to transition to an independent lifestyle than to start by making CCCB your first home away from home. Whether you are attending intramural sports activities, joint study sessions, attending worship with your roommates, or just hanging out, CCCB residential halls offer a comfortable atmosphere for living and studying.
Residence Halls
Residence hall living is considered an integral part of the educational experience. Not only does it develop lasting friendships, but it also contributes to academic achievement, interpersonal development, and a better understanding of yourself.
Traditional freshmen (those coming to the College straight from high school) enrolled for nine or more hours or completing a degree program are expected to live in College housing, unless living with their parents or a close relative.
Room assignments are made for the year; however, if changes are necessary, arrangements may be made with the Residence Director. The College reserves the right to move students for appropriate reasons.
Additionally, students who live on campus can expect to have their own dorm room. That is our default status for students. You choose your own roommate if you wish. Yes, you read that correctly. Students get to choose their own roommates IF they want one. That takes place in late September. There is a discount on their room cost if students choose to have a roommate too.
Cafeteria
In order to ensure that students are receiving nutritious and delicious meals, CCCB has an in-house cafeteria that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on weekdays, and brunch on Saturdays.
The college cafeteria is located in Pelfrey Hall, the heart of our campus. It is a large, open space with plenty of seating and a wide variety of food options.
Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 9:00am, lunch is served from 11:30am to 12:45pm, and dinner is served from 4:45pm to 5:45pm. Brunch is served on Saturdays from 10:30am to 12pm.
The cafeteria offers a variety of menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week. Most meals involve a self-serve buffet featuring several options for entrees and sides, including a salad and dessert bar. Cafeteria facilities also accommodate to-go meals.
