Admissions Checklist

Apply Now

Applying for admission to Central is the next step in discovering how you can impact this world for Christ. If you have already filled out an application, you can find your next steps by clicking the appropriate checklist below. We have a smart application, so it builds as you fill it out based on your student type. Most applications take no more than 10–15 minutes if you have your supporting materials ready (transcripts, test scores, and other documents).

Once your application file is complete and all necessary documents have been submitted, you can usually expect an admissions decision within about a week.

Select the checklist that best fits you. For most students, steps should be completed by December 1 for spring semester and June 30 for fall semester for the best chance at placement in desired classes and housing. International students should follow the earlier deadlines listed in the International Students section below.

First-Time Students

Application

High School Transcripts

  • Your high school must send completed transcripts with graduation dates directly to the CCCB admissions department. Transcripts may be sent to admissions@cccb.edu or through a transcript-sending service used by your school.
  • If you are still in high school, have your current transcript sent in for evaluation. A decision can be made using a partial transcript, but we will need a final official transcript after graduation to complete your file.
  • Official copies of GED or HiSET scores can be accepted in place of a transcript.
  • Home school students should send in their home school transcripts. If you do not currently have a completed home school transcript, you can use the Home School Transcript Template.
  • If you are a high school student interested in concurrent enrollment, see the Concurrent High School Students section below.

Concurrent High School Students

We are excited to offer high school students the opportunity to get a jump start on their college experience in a Christian campus environment. Our dual-enrollment program is designed for students who want to complete college preliminaries while still in high school. It does not lock you into a degree program, but it can help you get on your path sooner after graduation.

Eligibility

  • You must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in high school.
  • You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.

Checklist

  1. Application
  2. Parental Consent Form
  3. Official High School Transcripts
    • Home school students should send in their home school transcripts. If you do not currently have a completed transcript, you can use the Home School Transcript Template.
  4. Identity and Statement of Educational Purpose Form
    • Print the Identity and Statement of Educational Purpose form and have it completed with a notary.
    • Notary services are often available at your local bank, post office, library, or accounting firm.
    • Once completed, send it to admissions@cccb.edu.

If you have questions about the process or any required steps, contact the CCCB Admissions Department at 660-263-3900 or admissions@cccb.edu. Once all necessary documents have been submitted and your application file is complete, you can usually expect a decision in about a week. High school students are not eligible for federal financial aid; however, the reduced cost of classes makes this a very affordable opportunity.

  • Have a minimum of 24 hours of college credit
  • Completed an associate’s degree while enrolled in high school

Application

  • If you have fewer than 24 attempted credit hours, you will also be asked to submit a copy of your high school transcript for admission consideration.
  • Students who completed an associate’s degree while in high school are considered for admission based on a final high school transcript and cumulative college GPA.

Readmitted Students

Application

College Transcripts

  • Send transcripts for any college or colleges attended since leaving Central.

International Students

International applicants—first-year, transfer, and readmit students—must complete the standard admission requirements for all students, plus the additional items below.

Start early. To allow time for document review and visa processing, international applicants should aim to submit all application and financial materials by May 1 for fall enrollment. Applications submitted after that may still be considered as space and time allow, but late submission can delay or prevent completion of the visa process before classes begin.

1. Complete Your Application File

2. Provide Evidence of English Proficiency

Applicants whose native language is not English must submit one of the following:

  • Duolingo English Test: minimum score of 105
  • TOEFL: minimum score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based), or 61 (internet-based). CCCB school code: 6145.
  • IELTS: minimum overall band score of 5.0
  • Pearson PTE Academic: minimum score of 50

Official score reports must be sent directly from the testing agency or through verified electronic delivery.

The English proficiency requirement may be waived if you meet one of the following:

  • You are from an English-speaking country prior to admission review.
  • You have an acceptable ACT or SAT score.
  • You earned a U.S. high school diploma.
  • You graduated from an international high school where instruction was fully in English.
  • You completed at least one semester at a college or university in the United States.
  • You completed an English as a Second Language program (ESL or ELL).

Additional review may be required on a case-by-case basis and can include an interview or writing sample. Students who do not meet minimum English requirements may be placed in the Saints Success Program at the discretion of Academic Services.

3. Submit Financial Documentation Before an I-20 Can Be Issued

International applicants must demonstrate verified financial resources sufficient to cover one full academic year of tuition, fees, housing, food, insurance, and estimated living expenses.

All financial documentation is reviewed by both the Admissions Office and the Business Office. CCCB reserves the right to request additional documentation if financial stability is unclear. An I-20 will not be issued until financial documentation has been reviewed and approved.

Please note: CCCB does not provide sponsorship for international students and cannot provide sponsor information.

4. After Admission and I-20 Issuance, Apply for Your F-1 Visa

  • After you receive your I-20 and SEVIS receipt, contact the U.S. embassy or consulate to schedule your visa interview.
  • Applications requiring security clearance can take 2 to 4 months in addition to normal processing time.
  • Apply as early as possible, but no more than 120 days before the start of your program.

5. After Visa Approval, Complete These Items Within 14 Days

  • Submit a $1,500 non-refundable enrollment deposit. This deposit will be applied toward your first-semester tuition.
  • Enroll in an approved tuition payment plan for the remaining semester balance.
  • Both the deposit and payment plan enrollment must be completed before course registration or entering the United States.

Failure to remain current on tuition payments may result in registration holds, inability to enroll in future terms, or forfeiture of student visa.

6. If You Are Transferring From a U.S. College or University

  • Complete all admission and financial documentation requirements listed above.
  • Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
  • Complete the International Student School Transfer Certification Form.
  • Your SEVIS transfer release will not be processed until admission has been granted and financial documentation has been approved.

7. If You Plan to Compete in Athletics

International students participating in an NCCAA sport such as basketball, soccer, or volleyball must have their high school transcripts translated and evaluated through InCred, the NCCAA’s designated partner, in order to be eligible for athletics.
