Pursue "the Equipping" - October 23-25, 2026
In collaboration with CIY and several churches, Pursue is an opportunity for you to discover the calling God has put on your life. Is ministry right for you? Is it difficult? How can you figure out what you're supposed to be doing? Where can you find the answers?
Whatever your calling may be there is an equipping that first must take place.
What is Pursue?
Pursue is a weekend event for high school students who are interested in discovering what a career in ministry or missions would look like. This event takes place on the campus of Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Missouri. Come join students who are also pursuing a ministry-oriented life.
Who is Pursue for?
Every high school junior and senior interested in exploring what it takes to follow a calling into ministry whether it's full-time or part-time. There's a lot that goes into preparing to enter ministry and what it means to endure.
Guest Speakers for 2026

Frank Goehringer is back.
Born and raised in Delaware, Frank developed a heart for the kingdom of God. He traveled to Missouri for college and graduated from Central Christian College of the Bible in 2007 with a preaching degree. He went on to earn his Master of Arts degree in Homiletics from Liberty University and has been part of the team at Capital City Christian Church in Jefferson City, Missouri, for 20 years, currently serving as Lead Pastor. He’s been married to Kendy since 2007, and together they have four awesome kids: Grayson, Ada , Evelyn, and Cora. He’s a big baseball fan, loves music, to travel (especially with his family), and has a deep passion for teaching God’s Word. More than anything, he wants to see God’s Kingdom grow and thrive, one life at a time.

Matthew Stieger is also back!
Matt grew up in the great city of Buffalo, NY. Following high school he went to Ozark Christian College. After his first semester, he was awarded the “Best Accent in the dorm Award!” In 2008, he graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Literature and a Bachelor of Christian Ministry degree. Shortly after graduation, God took him and his love for pizza and chicken wings to small-town Macon, Missouri. Probably one of the last places planned after college. He began serving at Crossroads Christian Church as a co-minister in 2008. In 2010 his role shifted to Lead Minister, where he currently serves.
Why Pursue?
You will meet other students who are also seeking God's will for their lives, and professors and ministers who have devoted their lives to following the same thing. You will be able to explore different ministry types and interact with those who've spent years in the vocation.
