You are in the right place. This checklist will help you see the main steps toward enrollment at Central, then point you to anything extra that may apply to your situation.
For the best chance at placement in desired classes and housing, most students should complete their enrollment steps by December 1 for spring enrollment and June 30 for fall enrollment. Students who need an F-1 visa should begin earlier and follow the timeline listed below.

- Most students can complete the application in about 10–15 minutes if transcripts and other supporting materials are ready.

- Submit the FAFSA if eligible: Complete the FAFSA at studentaid.gov and send it to Central.

Watch for your admissions decision.
- Once your file is complete and all required documents have been submitted, you can usually expect a decision within about a week.
- If anything is missing, the Admissions team will let you know what is still needed.

Commit to Central.
- Submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit to hold your spot.
- Most students submit a $250 enrollment deposit through the application process or by calling 660-263-3900.
- Students who need an F-1 visa have a different deposit and payment plan process after visa approval. See the F-1 student visa section below.

Complete your pre-registration information.
- Complete the Pre-Registration Form to declare your major, intended course load, student type, and other enrollment information.

Complete student life information if you will study on campus.
- Campus students should complete the Student Life Form for meal plan, housing requests, and related campus life information.
- Online students will receive next-step information that fits their enrollment format.

Register for classes.
- After you have deposited, Central will send registration information when it is time to sign up for classes.
- Registration may be completed through an in-person or online registration process, depending on your program and enrollment format.

Is This Your First College Experience?
Use this section if you are coming to Central after high school graduation, GED, HiSET, or home school completion.
What You Need
- High school transcript: Your high school should send your official transcript with graduation date directly to the Admissions Office.
- If you are still finishing high school: Send your current transcript for evaluation. A decision may be made using a partial transcript, but your final official transcript will be required after graduation.
- GED or HiSET: Official copies of GED or HiSET scores may be accepted in place of a high school transcript.
- Home school students: Send your home school transcript. If needed, use the Home School Transcript Template.
Do You Have College Credit to Transfer?
Use this section if you have attended another college or university before coming to Central.
This Usually Applies If You Have
- Previously attended another institution as a full-time college student
- Completed at least 24 hours of college credit
- Completed an associate degree while enrolled in high school
What You Need
- College transcripts: Send official transcripts from every college or university you have attended.
- If you have fewer than 24 attempted college credit hours: You may also be asked to submit your high school transcript for admission consideration.
- If you completed an associate degree while in high school: Admission may be considered based on your final high school transcript and cumulative college GPA.
Are You Coming Back to Central?
Use this section if you previously attended Central and want to return.
What You Need
- Updated transcripts: Send transcripts from any college or university you have attended since leaving Central.
Are You Still in High School?
Use this section if you want to begin earning college credit while still in high school.
Eligibility
- You must be a sophomore, junior, or senior in high school.
- You must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
What You Need
- Parental Consent Form: Submit the completed Parental Consent Form before enrollment.
- High school transcript: Send your current high school transcript.
- Home school students: Send your home school transcript or use the Home School Transcript Template.
- Identity and Statement of Educational Purpose Form: Print the form, complete it with a notary, and send it to admissions@cccb.edu.
Important Notes
- Students in concurrent high school enrollment are not eligible for federal financial aid.
- With permission from the Academic Dean, high school students may be provisionally accepted and take up to five classes.
- Provisionally accepted students must complete the full application and submit the Parental Consent Form.
Do You Need an F-1 Student Visa?
Use this section if you need an F-1 visa to study in the United States.
Timeline
- Begin early to allow time for document review, financial approval, I-20 issuance, and visa processing.
- For fall enrollment, aim to submit all application and financial materials by May 1.
- Later submissions may still be considered as space and time allow, but delays can affect visa processing.
What You Need

Complete your application file.
- Submit the application for admission.
- Pay the $100 international application fee. The application will not be reviewed until this fee is paid.
- Complete the International Student Questionnaire.

Provide evidence of English proficiency.
- Duolingo English Test: minimum score of 105
- TOEFL: minimum score of 500 paper-based, 173 computer-based, or 61 internet-based. Central's school code is 6145.
- IELTS: minimum overall band score of 5.0
- Pearson PTE Academic: minimum score of 50

Submit financial documentation before an I-20 can be issued.
- Complete the Statement of Finance & Sponsorship Form.
- Submit official bank statements dated within 30 days of submission.
- Provide a statement of sponsorship for each sponsor listed.
- If you have a U.S. sponsor, complete the Form I-134 Affidavit of Support.
- Provide supporting financial records for sponsors, including proof of income and bank statements.

Apply for your F-1 visa after admission and I-20 issuance.
- After you receive your I-20 and SEVIS receipt, contact the U.S. embassy or consulate to schedule your visa interview.
- Apply as early as possible, but no more than 120 days before the start of your program.
- Some applications can require additional security clearance, which may add significant processing time.

Complete the international deposit and payment plan process after visa approval.
- Submit a $1,500 non-refundable enrollment deposit, which will be applied toward your first-semester tuition.
- Enroll in an approved tuition payment plan for the remaining semester balance.
- Both the deposit and payment plan must be completed before course registration or entering the United States.
Additional Notes
- Central does not provide sponsorship for international students and cannot provide sponsor information.
- If financial stability is unclear, Central may request additional documentation.
- An I-20 will not be issued until financial documentation has been reviewed and approved.
- If you are transferring from a U.S. college or university, complete the International Student School Transfer Certification Form.
- If you plan to compete in NCCAA athletics, your high school transcripts must be translated and evaluated through InCred, the NCCAA's designated partner.
Do You Want to Study Online?
Use this section if you plan to complete your program online instead of relocating to campus.
What You Need
- If this is your first college experience: Follow the transcript instructions in the first-time college section.
- If you have college credit to transfer: Follow the transcript instructions in the transfer section.
- If you previously attended Central: Follow the returning student instructions.
- If you need an F-1 student visa: Contact Admissions so they can help you determine the right enrollment path.
Online Enrollment Notes
- You do not need to complete campus housing or meal plan requests.
- After you have deposited, Central will send registration instructions when it is time to sign up for classes.
