Rawlings, ArthurMinister, Surgeon, University Teacher, Elder

    Dr. Rawlings earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (’85) and his early career was as the minister for the Jacksonville Church of Christ in Jacksonville, Illinois.  He earned a Master of Divinity from Lincoln Christian Seminary in 1996. He then pursued an M.D. degree, which he earned in 2004. Dr. Rawlings currently serves as Program Director for the General Surgery residency program and Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

    He and his wife, Paula, are members of Forum Christian Church, where he also serves as an elder and a teacher.  He is a member of the CCCB Admission and Governance/Executive committees. In 2019, Dr. Rawlings was named the Chairman of the Board.

    He wrote, “I am drawn to serve CCCB primarily because of the mission to develop servant-leaders for the church.   CCCB shares my passion for helping people know God and I want to support CCCB’s efforts in training and education to provide workers for the kingdom.”
