MOBERLY, Mo. – Central Christian College of the Bible plans to open its doors to those who are passionate about serving the next generation of youth and families as it hosts the National Day of Volunteer Youth Ministry Training on campus on Saturday, September 19.

Registration for the event is accessible on the CCCB website here or going directly to https://downloadyouthministry.brushfire.com/events/464356. Discounted pricing is available until June 30 with the promo code: EARLYBIRDPRICE. Registration is a flat fee per organization with unlimited representatives. This event is valuable to those who are working with youth and families – from teachers, community leaders, volunteers, to church leaders, church volunteers, and more.

“This is an exciting event that our youth leaders can bring all of their volunteers, teachers, and leaders that are interested in impacting the next generation for the cause of Christ,” says Walt Harper, Professor of Bible and Ministry and Director of Youth and Family Ministry. “This event will include material from church leaders, authors, volunteers, and will be a lot of fun!”

The National Day of Volunteer in Youth Ministry Training is a national program in partnership with Download Youth Ministry (DYM) and had nearly 20,000 participants nationwide in 2019. This is the first year that CCCB is hosting the event on their campus with the anticipation of hosting it each year in the future. This year’s event will be held in the Ferneau Center of Pelfrey Hall, the main building near the front of Central’s campus. The campus provides ample parking and Pelfrey Hall is handicap accessible.

“When we went through our institutional planning process in 2017, our constituents indicated that they would like us to organize training events for paid and volunteer ministers to learn new strategies,” said Dr. David Fincher, President of CCCB. “Our current relationship with Download Youth Ministry provides many of their resources to Central’s students. This event will expand that relationship to bring their expertise to regional ministers and volunteers.”

Founded in 1957, Central Christian College of the Bible’s mission is to develop servant leaders for the church. CCCB is nationally accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education and offers associates, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees through 10 areas of study in Bible and ministry careers and over 25 programs in other marketplace ministry careers through partner schools.
