Orientation at CCCB is designed to help new students adapt to life at Central.  Our goal is to help students make a smooth transition into college life.  The beginning of each semester is designated as a time for first time freshmen and transfer students to move onto campus before the upperclassmen arrive.  The ORIENTATION SCHEDULE is designed to allow our new students extra time to interact with each other, to meet staff and faculty and to get settled in their new living environment, as well as to register for their classes and to become acquainted with the campus.

During Orientation, students will participate in Saints Seminar.  Students will earn credit for attending this seminar which is designed to familiarize our new students with many different facets of college life.  All incoming students are required to participate in this seminar which will outline Central’s programs, explain schedules, educate students in matters concerning campus safety and security (ex: A.L.I.C.E. Training), explain portions of the student handbook and introduce our new students to the variety of student ministries and opportunities that will be available in their time here.

Orientation also includes several activities aimed at creating community amongst its students.  These activities might include bowling, hanging out in the Walton Student Center, and doing a service project together in the community.  A “Welcome Banquet” is prepared for students and their families on the evening of your arrival to campus.
