Patty Wyatt and Lisa Jernigan to Speak at CCCB's Women's Day and Banquet

Central Christian College of the Bible would like to invite area women to participate in the college’s annual Women’s Day and
Luncheon.  Women’s Day will be held on Thursday, April 12, and this year’s theme is “Girlfriends.”

Women’s Day and Banquet will feature Patty Wyatt and Lisa Jernigan of Mesa, Arizona as our speakers.  Patty and Lisa are
speakers, authors, and radio personalities.  Experiencing the loss of their two favorite girlfriends – their mothers, one through cancer and the other by murder–Patty and Lisa realized just how significant friendships with women are and what a key role they play
in their lives. Desiring for all women to have that same support and encouragement through friendships, Girlfriendit
was born.  Through this life experience of loss, they realized the urgency in living and discovering truth. That is
where “it” (in truth) began . . . in the company of girlfriends.

Whether in the church walls, in prisons, in strip clubs or out in the community, Patty and Lisa’s messages focus on leading women to lead their lives for greater impact. They are passionate about encouraging; motivating and equipping women to not only believe that they can be used 100 percent by God but to join Him.  Why settle for anything else?

Patty and Lisa were featured in the May 8, 2011, issue of the Christian Standard.  They have a passion to make ministry to women
“real.”  Together they will lead a workshop at 4:30 p.m. on beginning or enhancing a women’s ministry in your church (large or small).  The evening banquet at 6:30 p.m. will feature Patty and Lisa discussing the need that women have to connect to other women, and how it is important for women to make a special effort to connect to others.  You can learn more about them and their ministry at

The cost to attend the banquet is $15 and the menu will be turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli salad, corn, rolls and strawberry shortcake.  Banquet tickets will be available in the lobby of Pelfrey Hall beginning at 4:00 p.m.  on Thursday.  Childcare will be provided
during the workshop and banquet.  A child plate at the banquet will be available for $5 if needed.

An offering will be received during the banquet to go towards campus security.
